Driver Education School of Record

Teen Driver’s Education is mandatory for all teens 15-17 to qualify for their provisional licenses.  Adult Driver's Education is mandatory for all adults 18-24.  Central Texas Driving School (C2600) is the licensed school providing XLR8 Driver’s Education.

 

Course Tuition

The fee for XLR8 Driver’s Education full and/or Adult course is $99 and the fee for the behind-the-wheel only program is $40.  Fees will be charged to the parent at the time of the order.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

By enrolling in this digital course, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • All tuition and fees are non-refundable once access to the course has been granted.

  • Upon enrollment, you are given immediate access to all course materials, including proprietary content, digital curriculum, and testing components. Because these instructional services are considered delivered at that time, no refunds will be issued.

  • In accordance with TAC §84.200 and TEC §1001, Subchapter I, refunds are not required if instruction has begun and no portion of the course has been denied.

  • If you have not yet accessed the course and request cancellation within 7 calendar days of enrollment, a refund may be issued minus a non-refundable registration fee of $25.

Program Completion Time Frames

At XLR8 Driving School, we are committed to helping our students complete their courses efficiently and successfully. Please be advised of the following program time limits:

  • Teen Parent Taught and Online Programs:
    Students enrolled in the Teen Parent Taught or Online Drivers Education programs have up to one (1) year from the date of enrollment to complete the course requirements.

  • Adult Drivers Education, Driver Safety, and CDL Programs:
    Students participating in the Adult Drivers Education, Driver Safety (Defensive Driving), or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) programs must complete their course within one (1) month from the date of enrollment.

Failure to complete the program within the allotted time may result in the need to re-enroll and pay additional fees. We encourage all students to stay on schedule to ensure timely course completion.

 

Privacy Statement

Central Texas Driving School is the sole owner of XLR8 Driver’s Education and the information collected on this site.  Any information provided will not be stored or sold to third parties.

 

Issuance of Certificate

An original DE964 certificate (for learners license only) will be emailed to the parent/instructor within one business day (Monday - Thursday) once the handbook test has been completed.  The second DE 964 will be emailed once the entire course has been completed and verified (typically 1 business day). Adult ADE1317 certificates will be emailed within one business day (Monday-Thursday).
